The History of Ponte Vedra Concert Hall

Located in Ponte Vedra Beach, the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is a premier live entertainment venue and an important cultural asset for St. Johns County. Known for its intimate design and high-quality productions, the venue has become a consistent destination for audiences and touring artists alike.

A Building with History

Originally constructed in 1980, the facility served as the Palm Valley Baptist Church and community center, supporting the needs of the local community for several decades. As the building became underutilized in the early 2000s, St. Johns County identified an opportunity to repurpose the space to better serve the region’s cultural and economic goals. The County acquired the property in 2006.

After extensive renovations, the facility reopened in February 2011 as the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall under the management of the St. Johns County Cultural Events Division. The redesign prioritized functionality, acoustics, and audience experience while maintaining an intimate footprint. The venue accommodated more than 400 seated guests and up to 900 patrons in a general admission format, allowing for flexible programming and strong artist-audience engagement.
